|   The  fantastic "Complete Bob Marley & the Wailers 1967 to 1972" series   |
|   include ten albums covering seven key years, but the last 2 CDs in the   |
|   series are also the  most mysterious and least known (check out Vol.10   |
|   too). This  here Volume 9, unveiled some of the greatest recordings by   |
|   the  Peter Tosh-Bunny Wailer-Bob Marley  rocksteady  trio (Rita Marley   |
|   joins sometimes). Some of these 1967-68 Wail'n Soul'm & JAD recordings   |
|   can sometimes be found on other inferior JAD Records compilations, but   |
|   this is  the complete, real deal. It includes fine, rare Wail'n Soul'm   |
|   self-produced  Tosh-Marley duets such  as the classic  "Fire Fire" and   |
|   "Pound Get a Blow" the original version of Tosh's "Stepping Razor" and   |
|   "Dem a Fi Get a Beatin", as well as an alternate "Hypocrites" and Rita   |
|   Marley's "Play Play Play". Eight JAD tracks previously released on the   |
|   "Rock to the Rock" album (Volume1) included lousy US-added horns mixes   |
|   where some instruments (like Hux Brown's classic guitar work) had been   |
|   mixed  out.  They are finally  presented  here  in all their  original   |
|   Jamaican 'soul mixes' glory (WITH  the original percussions, organ and   |
|   guitars, and  Without the  Tin Pan Alley horns), including an awesome,   |
|   very different alternate "Nice Time", Peter Tosh's "Love" (a duet with   |
|   Rita), and Rita Marley's "Rhapsody" as  well as a bunch of rare demos.   |
|   Complete with rares photos,  and  extensive liner notes (in French) by   |
|   Wailers experts  Bruno Blum and Roger Steffens, who compiled this gem.   |
|   A must have for anyone interested in the Wailers' rocksteady period.     |
