For some time he has lived in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland. In 1979 he succeeded with Ruf Teddybär one-four a hit. This recording is a spoken text in poem form, which is underlined with music. This recording brought him a Golden Record. In addition to pop and country songs, Hill also sings folks and sailors.
