Earlier known as Hutch Stereo's. They released their two first albums at Stax, produced by Isaac Hayes and David Porter. They switched to Columbia in the mid 70's. Their association with Earth, Wind & Fire's Maurice White brought them at the top of the charts with "Best Of My Love". They had big success as well with "Boogie Wonderland" sang with Earth, Wind & Fire. They released ten albums between 1971 - 1985. Brassed-up disco. The group's first LP on Columbia Records, Flowers was produced by Charles Stepney and Maurice White of Earth, Wind and Fire. An absolutely stunning brew that kept the girls powerful vocal harmonies well spotlighted, while adding more than a little funk to the sound. Leading with the one-two punch of the hit singles "I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love" and "Flowers," the combination brought the marriage of their styles fully to bear as the former sizzled with Verdine's classic, elastic bass and the latter smoothed the mood with the girls' sweet R&B vocals.
